# Use a predefined template

Besides generic checklists, 4HSE provides **predefined templates** built for specific regulatory and operational requirements — evacuation drills, fire extinguisher maintenance, work permits, PPE handover.

1. On the action, [configure a new form](/forms/configure-a-form).
2. Open the **Type** dropdown. It shows only the templates consistent with the category of that action: the evacuation drill appears on Procedure actions, fire extinguisher maintenance on Maintenance actions.
3. Select the template and save.

The form opens in the [4HSE Designer](/forms/widgets/) already configured with the fields it needs — drill times, inspection outcomes, the checkpoints of a handover. You can use it as it is, or add and remove fields to match your company standard.

The template is prompted when a new certificate is created for the action it belongs to.
