# Print an appointment letter and the safety organization chart

See [Safety roles](/safety-roles/) for what the chart contains.

## Print the appointment letter

[Section titled “Print the appointment letter”](#print-the-appointment-letter)

The appointment letter shows the office’s employer, the holder with their personal details, the role, the period of the appointment and the duties taken from the role’s description.

1. Open the office, choose **Safety org. chart** and select the role.
2. In the **People** tab, open the holder’s row menu and choose **Print**.
3. Choose the template and print or save the document (see [Print or export a document](/reports/print-and-export)).

The same print is available from the **Print** icon in the assignment’s detail, which opens with **Open** from the row menu.

## File the signed copy

[Section titled “File the signed copy”](#file-the-signed-copy)

1. In the role’s **People** tab, open the holder with **Open** from the row menu.
2. Choose the **Attachments** tab and upload the signed letter (see [Upload a file](/files-and-attachments/upload-a-file)).

The letter stays attached to that person’s assignment to that role.
