# Person groups

The **person** is a real individual registered in the system with their personal data. Permissions on this entity govern who can see and change that data and what is linked to it.

Group

Permissions on the person

**Manager**

Read and write · can link entities to the person (work phases, equipment, and so on) · can manage the person’s own permissions and groups, but only if also a **Project admin**

**User**

Read only · can view the entities associated with the person

**Guest**

Read only on a limited set of data · **cannot** access the **Administration**, **Attachments** and **Events** sections

Alongside the groups, 4HSE has the **associated user**: a user directly linked to one specific person, which is how a worker is given access to their own position and nothing else. See [The associated user](/users-and-permissions/related-user).
