Electronic badge

The electronic badge is a worker’s identification document that also says whether they are compliant with safety requirements. It carries a QR code: by scanning it, anyone opens a public page, with no 4HSE account, showing the worker’s details and the status of their obligations.

It is used whenever someone needs to check a worker on site: at the entrance to a construction site or a plant, during an inspection, for a client receiving the staff of an external contractor.

Either way, the QR code opens the same page and stays valid for two years. The QR code holds no data: it points to a page that reads the worker’s current status at the moment it is opened.

  • The worker’s personal details and photo, with the company they work for.
  • The employment details: hire date, contract type, qualifications.
  • The certificates their qualifications require, each with its status.
  • The overall status: compliant, expiring or not compliant.

The qualifications depend on the project’s risk aggregator: they are the worker’s jobs, homogeneous groups or work phases. The certificates shown are those of the actions required by those qualifications, so the overall status says whether the worker has everything their work requires.

The page shows no contact details, addresses, attachments or health data. The details are in A worker’s verification page.
