Permit statuses

Every certificate acting as a permit has a status describing where it is in its life cycle. It is visible in the certificate detail, in the scheduler, and on the public verification page.

StatusMeaning
DraftThe permit is being prepared: it is not authorised yet and grants no right to operate.
ValidThe permit is authorised and effective within its validity dates.
ExpiredThe end date or time has passed and the permit must be renewed. Derived automatically from the dates.
RevokedThe permit was withdrawn before its natural expiry, for example because conditions on site changed.
RejectedThe permit was not approved.

In the scheduler the Revoked and Rejected statuses appear with a red badge, and a valid permit becomes expiring as it approaches the end of its validity.

The two views do not show the same set: Draft does not appear among the scheduler statuses, while New and Expiring, which the scheduler computes, do not belong to the permit life cycle. See Statuses for the general picture.
