PPE delivery
Personal protection sets out which PPE each worker is due and records that it was actually handed over.
It is a prevention and protection action, so it follows the common cycle. What changes is the vocabulary — equipment and deliveries — and the certificate, which works as a receipt.
Equipment and deliveries
Section titled “Equipment and deliveries”- PPE equipment defines the assignment: this device is assigned to these workers.
- PPE deliveries record the handover: when it happened, how many items, to whom.

The distinction matters more here than anywhere else, because the two answer different questions. The assignment says what a worker should have; the delivery says what they were given. A worker with an assignment and no delivery is not protected — they are declared.
The inventory
Section titled “The inventory”PPE is the only type where the action is linked to stock. A device registered in the inventory carries a quantity and an expiry, and issuing a delivery certificate decrements the available quantity automatically.
If the device is not inventoried, the delivery still works: the expiry is set by hand instead of being inherited from the stock item.
The certificate is a receipt
Section titled “The certificate is a receipt”The delivery certificate attests that the worker received the equipment. This is why PPE is the type where the signature matters: the document is proof of handover, and a checklist or a signed record can be attached to it.
When a worker receives several devices at once — on hiring, on a change of role, on wear — there is a dedicated procedure that handles them together and produces a single signed record: Deliver several PPE items at once.
What to do here
Section titled “What to do here”The procedures are the common ones: create the assignment · add the recipients · schedule a delivery · record the outcome · issue the certificates.
