MCP Server

The MCP (Model Context Protocol) server of 4HSE allows external AI tools, consumer AI clients, agentic systems and enterprise automation platforms to interact with the 4HSE instance. Through MCP it is possible to manage 4HSE system data using the preferred AI client, without needing to access the web interface.

Common use cases:

  • Consumer AI clients: Claude.ai, ChatGPT and other MCP-compatible clients
  • Automation systems: Workflow orchestration, business process automation
  • Enterprise integrations: API platforms, middleware, custom agentic frameworks

The server provides access to the tools for managing data and projects in 4HSE with the same operations available from the web interface.

Connecting to the 4HSE MCP server requires entering the correct URL in the AI client. The URL identifies the 4HSE instance and allows the client to access the user’s data.

The base URL is: https://mcp.4hse.com/4hse

Authentication takes place via 4HSE’s Single Sign On (SSO), the same system used by other 4HSE applications. Anyone with access to 4HSE automatically has access to the MCP server with the same permissions.

  1. Go to claude.ai
  2. Open settings (account settings)
  3. Find the “Connected Apps” or “Integrations” section
  4. Select “Add MCP Server”
  5. Enter the MCP server URL and 4HSE credentials
  6. After connecting, you can manage 4HSE data through the AI client

For detailed instructions, consult the official Claude documentation.

  1. Go to chat.openai.com
  2. Open settings (settings)
  3. Navigate to the “Integrations” or “Connected Services” section
  4. Select “Add Custom Integration”
  5. Enter the MCP server URL
  6. Complete authentication via 4HSE SSO

For detailed instructions, consult the official OpenAI documentation.

For agentic systems, enterprise automation platforms and other MCP-compatible clients, the connection procedure varies depending on the specific system. Consult the system’s documentation for MCP integration instructions, then provide the 4HSE MCP server URL and complete authentication via SSO.

The MCP server exposes the same operations available through the Operations Assistant of the integrated AI. The difference is that these operations are performed by the external AI client (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) instead of the 4HSE integrated chat.

The exposed tools are grouped by area:

AreaOperations
SearchSearch people, resources (equipment, PPE, substances, work environments), actions, projects, offices, job positions/homogeneous groups, and incidents
ComplianceReview the compliance schedule and view upcoming scheduled sessions
OrganizationCreate and manage safety roles, job positions, work phases, and homogeneous groups, assigning people and resources
ProfilingProfile new people and resources and subscribe them to the relevant actions
Actions & sessionsCreate preventive actions, schedule sessions, and create certificates and proofs of compliance
IncidentsReport incidents and link corrective actions to them
DocumentsAttach files to 4HSE entities

For practical request examples, see the Operations Assistant section.

The MCP server:

  • Does not provide commercial information or regulatory advice
  • Does not access data of other users
  • Cannot access local computer files
  • Follows the same permissions as the 4HSE user account
